PROJECT: Cottage City Crosswalk
LOCATION: Cottage City, maryland

SHIFT: Around the corner from our studio HQ, a new playground was in desperate need of improved roadside visibility. The playground in historic Cottage City, Maryland is located at an intersection where drivers often speed, having exited a state highway just a few blocks away. Several City Council meetings and countless conversations with residents led to a successful project funded by the 1600-person city, for which we and the neighbors are very grateful.

DESIGN INSPIRATION/ARTIST STATEMENT: The train alludes to the train track nearby, from where we could hear the horns blowing as we painted! Kids love trains and art featuring trains (and so do we).
